Katerina Jansen, Registered Psychologist

Katerina is a Registered Psychologist and Veteran Affairs (VAC) therapist.

She uses an integrated approach when working with individuals, which includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Ego State Interventions, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. In addition, Katerina offers Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Katerina can help with self-esteem, pain management, trauma (including complex trauma and PTSD), treatment for individuals who have been in a motor vehicle accident (MVA), stress, anxiety, depression, anger management, life transitions, sleep issues, and interpersonal relationship challenges. She specializes in working with adults and couples, including Veterans and First Responders, and has taken advanced trainings in EMDR, couples therapy (focused on trauma and affairs), and is a HeartMath Certified Practitioner. Katerina provides Psycho-educational assessments.

Chelsea Caton, Registered Psychologist

Chelsea is a Registered Psychologist and EMDR therapist who provides therapy services to children, youth, adults, and families.

Chelsea has enjoyed helping to support individuals and families in Calgary for over 15 years. She has provided treatment and strategies for individuals around issues related to a variety of developmental disabilities, including—but not limited to—anxiety, behaviour management, mood disorders, personality disorders, self-esteem, trauma, anger, bullying, and self-injury.

Chelsea’s approach is consultative, integrative, and evidence-based. She draws on solution focused therapies, play based interventions, positive behaviour support, EMDR, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Chelsea always tailors her treatment plans and interventions to match her clients’ needs. In addition to counselling services, Chelsea provides Psycho-educational assessments.

Samantha O’Brien, Registered Psychologist

Samantha O’Brien is a Registered Psychologist who holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) with a major in Psychology from Memorial University of Newfoundland and a Masters in School/Applied Child Psychology from McGill University. She has developed a passion for working with children, adolescents, and their families collaboratively to foster resilience, mental wellness, and a positive quality of life.

Samantha has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and their families across a diverse range of settings, including school, home, and community. She completed practicum training at the McGill Psychoeducational and Counselling Clinic and a specialized school for youth with diverse needs. Samantha has worked with children and adolescents with different cognitive, learning, socio-emotional, and behavioural challenges (e.g. Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Specific Learning Disorders, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, and OCD).  

Each client situation is unique, and Samantha strives to work collaboratively to support clients develop the tools they need to cope with challenges in their lives. Samantha applies evidence-based therapeutic principles and strategies to her practice and takes on a systemic, strengths based approach. Samantha draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Systemic Therapy, Play Therapy, and Attachment Theory. Through a compassionate and caring approach, Samantha provides a safe and nonjudgmental environment to help clients reach their full potential.

Samantha offers specialized services in Brainspotting and Psychoeducational assessment.
