Kierra Nash, CCC
Kierra is a Registered Provisional Psychologist who provides counselling services to adults and couples. She holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and works with a wide range of topics and concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, coping skills, life transitions, self-esteem, and relationship challenges. Kierra also has experience supporting clients in open relationships and non-monogamous structures and practices from a sex-positive perspective.
Kierra takes a client-centred, strength-based approach that is highly relational and collaborative. Her work is informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Relational Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She is trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy Levels 1 and 2 and is currently completing training in EMDR.
Kierra has spent the past 2.5 years working with 211, supporting individuals in navigating community resources, including mental health, social, and crisis services. This experience has strengthened her ability to connect clients with practical supports that extend beyond the therapy room. During her clinical practicum, she also spent 11 months working alongside a sex therapist, gaining valuable experience supporting individuals and couples with concerns related to intimacy, relationships, and sexual wellbeing.
Kierra is passionate about creating a nonjudgmental, supportive space where clients feel met and understood at whatever stage of life they are in.

Begin Your Counselling Journey with Kierra
Starting therapy can feel like a vulnerable step, but finding the right fit can make all the difference. Kierra is passionate about creating a supportive, collaborative space where clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and understood. As she begins this exciting stage of her counselling career at Southside Psychology, Kierra is intentionally maintaining a smaller caseload to ensure each client receives thoughtful, personalized care and attention.
With experience supporting individuals through crisis work at 211 Alberta and the Distress Centre, combined with her warm and relational therapeutic style, Kierra brings both compassion and strong clinical insight to her work with adults and couples. Her approach is grounded, approachable, and deeply client-centred, helping clients feel comfortable while working toward meaningful change.
Outside of the therapy room, Kierra values movement, connection, and balance – whether she’s out on a long run, rock climbing, spending time with friends, or walking her dog Meg, who has been her constant companion for over a decade. These values of consistency, resilience, and connection naturally carry into the way she supports her clients in therapy.
Kierra is currently accepting a limited number of new clients as she transitions into full-time clinical practice and continues the process of becoming a provisional psychologist.
